BEHIND THE SCENES
Often my job involves shooting on location, without the convenience of a green-screen environment. In these instances, subjects must be manually separated from their backgrounds by hand. Also, complex adjustments and airbrushing are required to achieve studio-level results. Here are some video examples.
Like a blank canvas, a photograph can often serve as the start of a larger vision. Combining stock-photography models with digital painting, I created this series of fairy-inspired characters for Marcus Ranum, with an emphasis on organic, botanical details.
A photo is a memory, and memories are often how we want them to be (instead of how they really were). My photos sometimes involve complex re-imaginings to emphasize the feeling over the reality. Presented here are moments in time, base on a true story.
